Method

Sift flour and add margarine and pinch of salt

Sift together between finger tips until like breadcrumbs, add sugar, then beat egg and add to mixture.

Stir together adding a little milk if necessary.

When all together in a firm mound, cut into squares rounding them.

Then make small dents in the tops and put in a little jam. Then cover hole and re mould until no jam shows.

Dampen tops of pastry with a little milk and add a little sugar.

Put onto a greased tin into an oven set to Regulo 7 for 15-20 mins.
