Cucumber & Onion Salad – Side Dish

Ingredients

  • ½ Each Cucumber
  • 1 Each Large onion
  • 2 Each Green chilli’s
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 75ml Lemon juice

Preparation

  1. Slice up the cucumber and onion (make half into rings) finely.
  2. Chop up the chilli’s.  De-seed if you don’t like it hot. 

Method

  1. Put the cucumber, chilli and onions in a dish.  Mix with hand.
  2. Add the salt.  Mix with hand.
  3. Add lemon juice.  Mix with hand.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

This is a side dish and can be served as an accompaniment to all curries.
 
Best made on day of serving.
